The assembled Terni Hunting Associations ask the Region for explanations regarding the refusal of the request by the Porvincia di Terni to modify the hunting calendar by anticipating the pre-opening of the season to XNUMX September in order to give hunters the opportunity to organize themselves for hunting mobility with the neighboring provinces such as that of Viterbo according to the relative agreement.
"The Hunting Associations Federcaccia, Liberacaccia, Anuu, Cpa, Enalcaccia, Italcaccia and Arcicaccia and met in Terni on Wednesday 24 August, to take note of the situation that arose after the unavailability shown by the Region of Umbria regarding the reception of the request for pre-opening on 1/9/2011, forwarded through the President Feliciano Polli and the Councilor for hunting Filippo Beco of the Province of Terni.
Our thanks go to both of them for the commitment and seriousness with which they forwarded and supported the change to the hunting calendar, jointly requested, to allow the full applicability of the two-year agreement for hunting mobility with Viterbo.
The same hunting associations, expressing great disappointment, ask the Regional Councilor Cecchini what were the reasons for which the homogeneity of the hunting calendars with the neighboring regions, which had been laboriously achieved, was questioned, and which allowed hunters to predict where and how to carry out their hunting activity; it is certainly a serious fact that takes us back a few years, denying hunters respect for their rights.
We would not want this incongruent decision to be the result of bad advice from groups or individual advisers, who had priority to the detriment of the general interests of the Umbrian hunting world: Councilor Cecchini, is still sure that she has chosen well or perhaps it was better to draw different conclusions give them those “wavy or generic” consultations, as you defined them?
Should the current attitude against the choice of homogeneous calendars with the neighboring Regions persist, we ask from now on the preparation of a regional legislation that provides autonomy to the Provinces to be able to decide on hunting times in relation to the other neighboring regions, as already for some time. occurs in neighboring territories.
Unfortunately for this year this incomprehensible decision has determined that the Province of Viterbo, with a meager, as correct, communicated, lets us know that together with the Atc Vt1 and Vt2, it has unilaterally adopted a resolution to proceed with the application of their Regional Regulations. , therefore, not being able to apply the two-year agreement between Tr and Vt, it will not be able to satisfy all the requests of the Umbrian hunters concerned.
For the above, in addition to the personal mortification of individuals, there is also a generalized disappointment towards those who should combine and synthesize our needs. Disappointment that places the hunters themselves and the hunting associations in a situation of great difficulty in managing this state of affairs.
We take this opportunity to inform that Umbrian hunters, who have applied for Residence Venatoria in Viterbo and who do not receive an answer within the next few days, will have to go to their associations to regularize their hunting card.
Perhaps you, Councilor, cannot understand what it means, in three working days, to have the Hunting Residence recovered from those who cannot have it where they had requested it ... Let your personal advisers tell you.
The hunters and the Hunting Associations of Terni thank the Councilor Cecchini for the attention shown on the occasion and, if the opening of the hunt wanted to be a day of celebration in a "day of celebration", for about 2000 Terni and 500 Perugians ( Todi, Foligno, Spoleto and Alta Valnerina) has turned into days of mortification and restlessness.
