Hunting: Lecco, the indications provided by the Federcaccia and ANUU Migratory Associations have been accepted by the Province, rejecting the Hunting Wildlife Plan.
On 7 October 2014, the Province of Lecco rejected the proposal for the Wildlife Plan and the related impact study, with a Resolution published in recent days. The outgoing Provincial President, Stefano Simonetti, listened to the observations produced by Federcaccia and ANUUMigratoristi, also shared by the other Hunting Associations and by the directors of the Territorial Areas of Hunting and Alpine Districts, leading to the rejection by the Provincial Council of the proposed Wildlife Plan and the study of incidence. These documents contained evident deviations from the regional and national legislation referring to hunting wildlife plans, as well as a series of unjustified penalties for Lecco hunters who would have seen their hunting traditions canceled in certain areas. A close collaboration between Federcaccia and ANUUM provincial migrators and the establishment of a technical group promoted by the provincial president of the FIdC Luigi Carissimi made it possible to present timely and documented observations relating to unacceptable contents, and in several cases in contrast with the current legislation, present in the proposal for floor. The technical group, made up of Dr. Michele Sorrenti, by Avv. Enzo Bosio and Dr. Eugenio Carlini, analyzed the aspects relating to the management of migratory, sedentary and typical alpine fauna together with the aforementioned parts not in line with the legislation, preparing an overall technical document used in the meetings with the Province of Lecco.
The support of the FIdC and ANUU Migratory Presidents Luigi Carissimi and Massimo Colombo and the decisive intervention of the National Hunt Manager of the Northern League-Lombard League, Marco Bassolini, made it possible to obtain constructive dialogues with the political exponents of the Province. From the province of Lecco here is a clear example of the correct and modern way of operating of hunting associations: collaboration and technical-legal support are the key to success and to be listened to effectively by the political world.
A road that in our opinion is to be exported at all levels for the defense of hunting in Italy. Special thanks go to the outgoing Provincial President of Lecco, Lawyer Stefano Simonetti, for the sensitivity shown towards us.
