Hunting: Marche, the Region has changed the Hunting Calendar by postponing the start date of the wild boar hunt differentiated for some provinces.
The regional council, on the proposal of the councilor for hunting, Paola Giorgi, approved an amendment to the Hunting Calendar 2013/2014 relative to the wild boar. This species, due to the modification, will be huntable at different times in the various Marche provinces.
In particular, in that of Pesaro and Urbino the withdrawal will be allowed from November 2013, 30 to January 2014, 20, in those of Ancona and Macerata from October 2013, 19 to January 2014, 13, in those of Fermo and Ascoli Piceno from October 2013, 12 to January 2014. XNUMX.
“The change - underlines Giorgi - takes place following specific requests and meetings held with the Provinces, the territorial hunting areas, the hunting associations and the teams of wild boar hunters. In fact, following the in-depth analysis, the need to modify the hunting periods for wild boar has emerged having regard to the different conditions and organizations defined by current legislation. In fact, this provides that the management and sampling activity is exclusively linked to the individual territorial hunting areas. "
In conclusion, Giorgi explained, "The Hunting Department considered it appropriate to accept the proposals - on which the positive opinion of both the Higher Institute of Environmental Protection and Research, and the Regional Wildlife Observatory was also acquired - also in consideration of the reasons exhibited by the individual territorial realities ".
