The Hunting Festival in Val d'Aosta is renewed for the third edition, in Pollein on the days of 19 and 20 May 2012.
The third edition of the Hunting Festival will be held on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 May, in the locality of Autoporto in Pollein, organized by the Presidency of the Region and by the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources in collaboration with the Regional Management Committee. hunting.
The program of the event, which takes place every two years, will alternate institutional and informative appointments with convivial moments, to whom the numerous hunters of the 54 sections of the Regional Committee are attested as well as all interested people and the general public.
Exhibition stands for hunting articles and products, an exhibition of trophies and institutional spaces managed by various sector organizations will be set up in the Autoporto area. - the Flora, Fauna, Hunting and Fishing Structure of the Department, the Forestry Corps of the Aosta Valley, the National Reference Center for Wild Animal Diseases - Cermas and the Regional Center for Wildlife Education - Cerf - as well as the hunting associations present in Valle d'Aosta - Enalcaccia, Federcaccia and Arcicaccia.
On the calendar, Saturday 19, at 15, the presentation of the cinematic data and the activities of the Control Centers of the last hunting seasons, followed, at 16 pm, by a meeting on trophies in the management of wild ungulates.

On Sunday, at 11 am, a meeting-debate on the training of hunters in wildlife and hunting is scheduled, with interventions by the President of the Region Augusto Rollandin, by the Councilor Giuseppe Isabellon, by the President of the Regional Committee for Hunting Management Alessandro Durand and by the Director of the Regional Structure for flora, fauna, hunting and fishing Paolo Oreiller.
At the end of the meeting, a documentary on ungulates in the Aosta Valley and Piedmont made by the University of Turin will be presented. "As has already been highlighted by the success of the previous editions, the event is an interesting opportunity for discussion not only between hunters but also between hunters and citizens on important issues for the sector, such as training and preparation for correct manipulation of slaughtered animals, both for scientific and health purposes ”underlined Councilor Isabellon.
"Hunters represent an important component for our valleys, with a supporting role in the monitoring and management of fauna and therefore in maintaining equilibrium conditions on the territory. - added Alessandro Durand, President of the Regional Committee for Hunting Management. - Currently, the Aosta Valley hunters are about 1.500, a number that remains stable over time, and are distributed throughout the region in the 54 municipal sections. About forty new members are added every year, which testifies to the interest shown also by young people for this activity, for the local fauna and our territory. "
