A single assessment report for failure to record the shot game was drawn up by the provincial police in the first three days of pre-opening of the hunting season on Wednesday 2, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.
Overall, the agents of Palazzo Celio controlled 16 temporary hunting stalks and verified the presence of 30 hunters, distributing the surveillance action, as far as possible, in a balanced way throughout the provincial territory. Give preference to the oases, the areas for capturing and restocking game, those of respect and the area of the Delta park, while also coordinating, with the operations room in Viale della Pace, the service carried out by the voluntary hunting guards of the various associations.
There have been more substantial game bags in the lower Polesine area, especially for the specimens of the wood pigeon species, while a modest capture of turtle doves has been recorded in the areas where sunflower crops are present. The hunting was allowed only for hunting in stalking form for the species blackbird, turtle dove, jay, magpie, hooded crow and hooded crow, as well as the wood pigeon only for the days of 2 and 5 September.
The regional hunting calendar foresees, as the next days of hunting for the same species, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, from 5,45 to 19,30 pending the general opening scheduled for 20 September.
Soon the coordination meeting between the provincial police and voluntary hunting security guards to address the problems that emerged and identify solutions to standardize the actions on the territory such as to guarantee equal treatment of hunters subjected to control.
