Hunting Show 2014: the regional councilor Daniele Stival, “from hunting show concrete ideas and scientific insights. we will prepare a sustainable proposal to overcome the EU censorship on hunting derogation ”.
"The just-concluded edition of Hunting Show in Vicenza was not only a great and well-deserved success with the public, but also a precious opportunity to think about hunting, the hunting world, rules and future of the sector, to which we as the Veneto Region have given a substantial contribution, starting with hunting in derogation ". This was underlined by the regional councilor for hunting Daniele Stival, taking stock of the regional presence at the recent fair dedicated to the hunting world held in Vicenza. Stival especially focuses the spotlight on the proposed exit from the conference organized by Federcaccia on exceptions. "Working in synergy with Lombardy, the region that, with the Veneto, is the most interested in the issue - announces Stival - we will prepare our joint proposal to regulate hunting in derogation that overcomes the often preconceived or political hostilities of the European Union and which allows us to apply the levies in derogation in full compliance with the relevant EU directive. It is certainly a challenge, but we launch it in the belief that we can win it ”.
"Very significant - according to Stival - is also the opinion poll carried out by the sociologist Enrico Finzi of Astra Ricerche on the perception of Italians with respect to hunting: the majority of them do not prove hostile in a preconceived way and this is an excellent signal, as well as the demonstration that the attempts to demonize hunters by a certain highly politicized environmentalist world. The key word - adds Stival - is sustainable and responsible hunting, already a reality in our Veneto region ”.
“Of great interest - concludes the commissioner - also two conferences in which I participated: one on scientific research applied to woodcock with the“ Scolopax ”project to which Veneto also contributes; and one of Arcicaccia where we reiterated, if ever there was a need, the importance of the correct management of the territory and the environment also through the Territorial Areas of Hunting ".
