The next 27 June the European Parliament of Brussels will host an interesting conference organized by the MEP Karl-Heinz Florenz, president of the Integruppo “Biodiversity, Hunting, Rural Activities”, in collaboration with FACE (Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation). The title of the event is easy to say: it is "Perspectives on fighting illegal killing: the role of hunters“, Namely the perspectives of the fight against poaching and the role of hunters.
What will be discussed specifically? The contribution of the hunting world in countering illegal killing has become increasingly important in recent years, in particular some data relating to large carnivores will be presented, the solutions for the African continent and the Mediterranean region, without forgetting the perspective taken by the European Commission.
The agenda includes first of all a greeting from Florenz himself, and then moves on to the actual panel. The speakers will be Marita Arvela, Mari Pohja-Mykra (University of Helsinki), Michele Sorrenti (Federcaccia Bird Migration Office) and Johan Svalby. At the end of the talks there will be room for discussion and the conclusions of the conference.
