THETerritorial hunting area of Caserta has launched a study and a project on the diseases that are transmitted by ticks and arthropods: the goal is to protect the dog health and animals that live in the wild environment, consequently the collaboration of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production of the"Federico II" University of Naples and the Order of Veterinary Doctors of Caserta.
Hunters will have the opportunity to test the auxiliary for free for what concerns the infections transmitted by ticks, fleas and mosquitoes, very dangerous for hunting dogs and in some cases also for humans. The main diseases in this case are anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis, borreliosis and filariasis: the symptoms, among other things, also manifest themselves after a long time from the infection (often even years).
The Campania ATC immediately believed in this initiative, judging it innovative and useful for the purpose of safeguarding and preventing the health of the animal, a precious companion for those who love hunting. There will be meetings on the provincial territory for dog samples and the results that will be delivered to the clinic during the same days.
