Policianus is one of the main hamlets of the municipality of Arezzo, famous above all for the organization of foot races. The local Polisportiva Union has been organizing for some time an appreciated festival, that of pappardella with hare sauce, a dish to taste and appreciate. It is a recipe that boasts years and years of tradition, a way to pay homage to the farmers of the past: in a nutshell we can talk about a real source of pride for the local cuisine.
The event started yesterday, Friday 10 November 2017 and will continue today and tomorrow, returning then on 17, 18 and 19 November. The food stands will offer typical specialties of this area of Tuscany, opening for dinner to 19: during the two Sundays, moreover, the stands will also remain open for lunch, to be precise from 12.
There will be other interesting events, such as live music and of course the running races. The festival, now in its twenty-seventh edition, will allow you to taste other foods in addition to pappardelle, first and foremost the exquisite Chianina meat and the great one extra virgin olive oil (Right in Policiano, oils with IGP and BIO brands are produced in certified oil mills).
