As announced bySavona Hunting Territorial Area 1, the provincial section of the Federcaccia organized a training course to become wild boar biometric measurement detectors. The lessons will take place at the headquarters of the hunting association, with an educational program divided into five days. On 10, 13, 17, 19 and 26 July the course will always be held from 19:30 to 21:30, while on 26 July the final exam will proceed (always from 19:30). What will the program be for the participants?
The general part includes the hunting management of wild boar, therefore its knowledge through censuses, productivity indices and biometric surveys. You will understand better how to define sampling plans, selective sampling and control, without forgetting the hunting seasons. The lessons will also have to do with ecology and demographics. The part dedicated to biometrics will deepen the importance of these surveys, the main bioindicators, the measurement tools and the compilation of the forms.
A last part, then, will be dedicated to wild boar diseases, therefore to the recognition of the pathologies and the real examinations to be conducted. There will be a practical part lasting three hours and an oral and practical exam. The course is aimed at the members of the boar hunting teams that deal with the treatment of the remains.
