Peter Molinaro, number one of Coldiretti Calabria, seems to have found the solution to the emergency boars in this region. The president of the agricultural association has in fact invited the regional council to adopt a measure for one self-defense to be recognized by local farmers for protect their safety and crops. For the containment of ungulates, therefore, farmers should also be taken into consideration, a real scourge for the primary sector and carriers of not insignificant infections.
The example to follow is that of Lombardy region, replicated in other areas of our country. Culls should be allowed all year round, taking into account owners and tenants of the funds in possession of a regular hunting license. The presence of minimum conditions capable of simplifying the bureaucratic approach is another wish of Coldiretti.
The numbers cannot fail to make us think and intervene quickly. Farmers are forced to experience daily malaise that grows exponentially. Concern grows when one takes into account the ability of wild boars to adapt to climate change. The situation is no longer sustainable and in the face of the damage caused the Calabria Region was urged to take serious action. Now the response from the local authority is awaited.
