We have not long and with great satisfaction dealt with one of the latest riflescopes from Konus, the company from Settimo di Pescantina (VR) dedicated to solid and in-depth research in the field of optical materials with particular attention to the solidity of the their own devices, their performance in the field, a decidedly favorable proportion between the intrinsic quality and the outlay requested from the purchaser, the establishment of a direct relationship between the management / property and the customer with the advantage, certainly not usual, of these times, of maintaining a large warehouse to satisfy the various requests in a very short time.
We were guests of Remo Martinengo's armory in Corso Nizza in Cuneo where three Konus binoculars belonging to the most recent production were kindly submitted to us. Already at first glance you can appreciate the setting of all these binoculars on the roof prism system and, for the intermediate type, of the open bridge: today a qualifying solution for classy products and definitely functional both in terms of optical yield and for the ease of grip even with one hand, a moment in which the certainly not secondary factor of balancing is revealed. Let's take a closer look at the three products scaled by different finenesses, different yields and, necessarily, a fair price ratio.

An overview immediately informs about the area in which to place the three products which are presented in a solid printed cardboard box into which the binoculars and their cases are inserted: soft cordura containers for the first two while the third enjoys a situation more appropriate to its status of telemetry optics with a rigid case that protects the contents even from not exactly light hits. In all there are internal mesh pockets closed by a zipper to store small details without fear of losing them. The straps are supplied to suspend the devices around the neck and care has been taken to insert the special padded shims in the support point so as not to make the wearing annoying; likewise there are eyepiece covers of different types according to the importance of the binoculars. Having said the accessories, while important and comfortable, let's move on to the substance: the green rubber coating to protect the metal hull is a constant for practicality and waterproofing as well as the ergonomic design.

We will say that the game of one hundred euro more is well worth the candle. A strong and motivated leap concerns the Range 8 × 42 model equipped with a rangefinder with a whole series of corrective measures suitable for the most profitable use of this equipment such as rain filters, for poor visibility with a little fog, for those branches that are interposed between us and our head to be captured, due to the poor reflectance of surfaces on which the laser beam does not grip. The train of lenses highlights the set of all the characteristics described above, further refined as befits the top corporate product.
Obviously the price is € 980,00, always very favorable for such an equipment, and the weight is higher than that of the two binoculars just examined: it is the price to pay for having that distance detector that few people know today. do without.
