La Spezia: wild boar hunting reopens.
The hunt for boar in in the Province of La Spezia. This year, compared to last year, a thousand more items to be cut down. Considering the large number of ungulates, the Province of La Spezia has established the maximum limit of possible killing at 4.500 specimens. Almost 2.200 hunters from La Spezia, out of the 3.400 who have renewed their license, grouped into 53 teams, waiting for 7,45 am to open tomorrow morning.
Hunting days on Wednesdays and Sundays. Among the novelties of the 2009-2010 hunting calendar the possibility of hunt the wild boar even in January if the ceiling of 4.500 culled specimens has not been reached by 31 December. The whole provincial territory is divided as in the past, into 6 hunting districts, 11 districts and 53 hunting areas. Among the novelties of the annual calendar, the possibility, on an experimental basis, of carrying out hunts with the union of two teams that hunt in fixed neighboring areas for a maximum of three throughout the season. For each district a maximum number of animals to be killed has been set which cannot be exceeded. The average composition of each team is 35 hunters (the minimum number expected is 20 with a maximum of 6 guests). Happy hunting everyone!
