THEPesaro Hunting Territorial Area 2 has published the selection notice for woodcock monitoring operators. The project foresees the analysis of the seasonal distribution of presence of this population, at the same time establishing probable migration routes and studying the ecology of wintering. This is why it was decided to create a network of survey stations in which to adopt the same protocols for data collection.
The territory of the Pesaro ATC will be counted among the monitoring areas of the species. This is why a training course has been created for operators, who will be able to use their dog in the protected areas and also in the closed hunting season. No more than 40 participants will be admitted, 8 for each district: there are two requirements, namely residence in one of the municipalities of the ATC and possession of a pointing dog not less than three years old.
Applications can be submitted no later than 12 noon on Monday 23 October, so there are still four days left to complete everything. In addition to classroom lessons (three hours each) and at 4 hours of field training, there will be room for a final assessment test, using quiz and image recognition.
