As reported byANUUMigrators in his usual weekly note on the migratory step, in the plains the temperatures dropped and the strong frost appeared on the territory characterizing the morning landscape. In this context, the erratic movement of the large turdidae was noted patchy. In general, the presence of the species proved to be very weak, even if for some, such as Chaffinch and Peppola, this was not the case.
Good presence of the Blackbird, while Redwing and Cesena in some areas have made themselves desired. In the countryside some contingents of Larks, accompanied by the wintering Fanelli, have been noticed in good number. However the most strenuous sheds are waiting for the full moon of December 12th (just on the eve of Santa Lucia) hoping for the arrival of a good number of erratic cesene from other European areas.
In the week just ended there are news of interesting meetings with the Woodcock and in the aquatic areas teals have been noted in good numbers. Finally, in recent days, there is a strong movement of Gru in large and compact groups, from the north-west, almost an omen of a winter that is beginning to advance north of the western Palaearctic.
