New hunting law: Amendments to the text of the national hunting law of 1992 are official; absolute prohibition on the purchase and sale of live or dead small birds. Red alarm for the Brescia spit
It is forbidden for anyone to sell, hold to sell, transport to sell, buy live or dead birds, as well as their easily recognizable parts or derivatives, even if imported from abroad, belonging to all species of naturally living birds in the wild state in the European territory of the Member States of the Union, with the exception of mallard, red partridge, Sardinian partridge, gray partridge, pheasant, wood pigeon. The final text of the amendments to the national hunting law (number 157 of February 1992) which effectively prohibits the sale of any type of wild bird, with rare exceptions. And in Brescia it makes a noise as if it were a roar: the homeland of the spit suffers a very heavy blow from this point of view. No more birds on your plate, in any restaurant, trattoria or festival you want.
You 'dared' him on the spit, only at home or on private appointments. Because the law speaks for itself, and also prohibits its trade and import from non-European countries. A regulatory problem: the spit in a restaurant is paid for, and the birds on the plate are also part of the said transaction. Therefore from now on they will be absolutely forbidden.
Hot controversy is expected. Almost as hot as a 'pinch' of a spit. From the valleys to the plains of Brescia, with an epicenter in those Municipalities where the most typical dish is recognized as De.Co., or a product with a Municipal Denomination. And therefore Gussago, but above all Serle: where its famous autumn festival (which among other things ends in these days) from next year will never be the same again.
