Only inUTR Po Valley the damage caused by these animals reached 700 thousand euros only for the year 2019 and in the last 5 years in the whole region the wild boars alone have caused damage to agriculture for 1,7 million euro of reimbursements and resulted in 384 road accidents. In the Lombardy Region I presented more than one motion on the problem of invasive animals, so that the council would ask the Ministry of Agricultural Policies that this emergency can be equated with a state of natural disaster.
The approach to managing both wild boar and other vermin and territories must be completely rethought they cause damage not only to crops but also to our rain infrastructure, aiming at the prevention, the control of the species, the safeguarding of native biodiversity and the evaluation of the possibility of the eradication of the species "Sus scrofa" in vulnerable areas.
