As if that were not enough, the two characters practiced their illegal hunting activity at night within the area of the Pollino Park; the Forestry agents following a stalking and control service intercepted the vehicle on which the two poachers were moving, blocking it.
From a first check it emerged that the driver had a headlight with him while the passenger at his side was holding one carbine ready to use. The headlights were also connected to the vehicle battery through some electrical cables that reached the engine compartment from the passenger compartment.
The two poachers, coming from Castrovillari (CS), were reported on the loose for illegal hunting activities, practiced with illegal means in the area and in a prohibited period, as well as for introducing weapons into a protected area; the weapon, the related ammunition, the headlights and the car used by the poachers were confiscated against them.
