The provincial section of Udine of Italian Federation of Hunting communicated to the conductors and enthusiasts the organization and carrying out of a work test for track dogs to Reana del Rojale next 20 February. This test is dedicated to Edward Ferletic, Federcacciatore and enthusiast of track dogs. The Udine municipality of Reana del Rojale it boasts five thousand inhabitants and overlooks the Carnic and Julian Pre-Alps: moreover, it is remembered by historians for being a territory where some of the main Friulian resistance activities took place during the Second World War. In the case of the job test we are talking about, the meeting and completion of the registrations have been set for 7 am on 20 February, to be precise at the Rizzolo Festival Center.
The appointment immediately following will be that of the choice of tracks, followed closely by the start of the test (7:30), from the waiting test, the award ceremony and the conductor's lunch. Wanting to be even more precise, this is the second ENCI Open round, organized in collaboration with the Reanese section of Federcaccia and the local hunting reserve. How will the event take place specifically? The regulation to refer to is that ofItalian National Dog-loving Body.
At the time of the call the conductor must present himself with the dog on a leash: must also be provided with a collar, short leash and hunting leash. The judge must be informed of the way to work along the path, ie the use or not of the track leash. Another information to provide is that relating to the discipline of obedience to the foot, with or without a short leash. The track dog can be encouraged in a low voice by the handler during the course or with the gesture, while it is not allowed to direct the dog on the same path to follow. Regarding the scores, the first place in the standings cannot be assigned to those who have a qualification lower than "Very Good".
The highest qualification, "Excellent", is assigned to the dog that proves to possess all the qualities of style and natural qualities related to the track breeds: the excellent dog, moreover, does not show defects and does not make serious mistakes. The second qualification is that of the aforementioned "Very Good", when the work is considered excellent, with noteworthy qualities. It all ends with the qualification "Good": the latter is assigned to the dog that proves to be in good measure of the characteristics of the breed, without forgetting the carrying out of a good job without serious errors or with slight defects.
