The station ringing of the island of Ponza has updated information on the first week of activity in this area off the coast of Lazio. Bad weather characterized a good part of the initial days as regards the catches, giving more respite on the weekend for continue the activities in the best possible way. In particular, the past few days of Saturday and Sunday were sunny, warm and windless, so much so that a greater engagement with networks.
As announced by the same station, just under 200 birds, first of all a very beautiful specimen of kingfisher. The largest number of catches, however, took place in the evening, to be precise at dusk: about 80 robins have passed through the island's nets. During the following Sunday, 270 birds were ringed.
The day began with a beautiful woodcock, in addition to the first seasonal specimen of whitetail. The conclusion was instead dominated by another “robin”, ie 95 specimens (always at dusk). The new week should have started in a profitable way and soon the data relating to the new seven days of catches will be known. All that remains is to wait for updates as appropriate.
