The Third Commission of Provincial Council of Trento he rejected the proposal of the director Lorenzo Ossanna which he envisaged the opening of forest roads to hunters. In practice, one of the options included in the provision was that of car transit for the hunting world on these itineraries. The aim of the bill was to allow the activity also to elderly hunters and who have walking problems.
The Trentino municipalities, however, have shown themselves to be doubtful, as have agronomists, foresters and environmentalists. The proposal was rejected with five votes against, one abstained and one in favor. The same goes for the so-called “stopping points”, that is to say the warehouses inside the hunting areas to allow shotguns to keep the game shot during the practice.
In this case the rejection was motivated by the fact that several such structures already exist, the control centers that perform the same function. The same Commission instead gave a favorable opinion to the bill proposed by the councilor Zanotelli (League), with 4 votes in favor of the majority directors, one vote against and two abstentions. The Bill provides for an increase in penalties for hunters who they do not respect the rules. According to Zanotelli, the fines are in line with the national ones.
