As pointed out in the ruling, the duration cannot be changed in progress and the problem arises when referring to one, two, three or four years. In fact, no police headquarters in our country has the possibility to grant the license for a shorter duration than that provided for by law, i.e. the time in which it is assumed that the conditions that are suitable from a psychophysical point of view remain.
The five years represent the time frame chosen from last September, in particular when the new Weapons Directive reduced the previous one by six years. The pronunciation will no doubt be exploited in other similar cases, thus becoming a precedent of a certain weight.
