Paul Viezzi, regional president of the Federcaccia of Friuli Venezia Giulia, spoke of the examination of the Law 28 of 2017 by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The analysis took place yesterday, Wednesday 13 September 2017, and the northern region was asked for clarification on 4 provisions. This means that many rules of the regional hunting law were found to be legitimate from a constitutional point of view.
According to Viezzi they are very important for the hunting world, since we are talking about, among others, the freedom of entry of the adult pheasant without limits of number and with ample possibility of taking, hunting with the hound in the reserves (also close to protected areas) and training of the followers also on the roe deer. For the Gentiloni government, then, traditional hunting activities can be practiced in the Alpine area and also in the land covered with snow, use three-shot smooth-bore rifles and donate courses for the hunting qualification exam to associations.
The rules to be clarified instead have to do with the killing of wounded animals that were found on the side of the road, the selection hunting of wild boar up to 4 hours after sunset, the repeal of the ban on the killing of wood pigeons beyond the fifth specimen and the obligation to keep the shotgun unloaded and in case before the start of the activity. In a nutshell, the Friulian law is brilliantly passing the test of constitutional legitimacy.
