In recent days, the regional councilor of Molise with responsibility for hunting, Christian Di Pietro, announced the preparation of the hunting calendar 2018-2019. The Molise Territorial Hunting Areas (Campobasso, Termoli and Isernia) have highlighted some critical aspects relating to regulation on selection hunting for wild boars proposed by Di Pietro himself, The ATCs explained that they had no prejudices and did not want to obstruct, but that they wanted to clarify various elements of the text.
The last technical meeting served to activate the preparatory courses related to this hunt, but the regulation approved and announced by the regional councilor is not shared and agreed upon. The ATCs consider these rules imposed by Di Pietro, as well as a economic cost unsustainable for the Areas themselves. According to the three Areas, the expenses incurred for the analysis of the trichinella and the disposal of the trichinella have not yet been reimbursed wild boars killed.
Furthermore, the expenses would be all borne by the ATCs, in particular those relating to the rental of the premises for the delivery of carcasses, the cold room and electricity. A further dispute concerns the sentence according to which they can be used exclusively rifled-barrel weapons equipped with a rifle scope, a formulation that would also include semi-automatic rifles.
