The Hunters of ANUU Migratoristi di Nave (BS) engaged in environmental operations for the cleaning of the Rio Salena stream.
The hunters of the Anuu section of Nave, on 29 April and 6 May 2012, cleaned the riverbed of the Rio Salena stream in the municipality of Nave. These extraordinary maintenance works were carried out, in collaboration with the Municipal Administration of Nave, to restore the natural conditions of the canal both as regards the hydraulic flow and to clean the surrounding wooded area.
This hard and meticulous operation is part of the various management and restoration actions of the territory that our section has been carrying out for a long time, a concrete and voluntary gesture for the benefit of the community to demonstrate the active role that the hunter has in environmental management.
During the days, many children, adults and the elderly contributed to improving the conditions of the stream, with brush cutters, blowers, rakes and other useful tools, the shrubs, branches and brambles present inside the riverbed were eliminated, making one of the most characteristic places of the municipal area.
The work story was sent to the press to make public opinion aware of the environmental and social importance of the hunter, in the hope of having the right emphasis for all the initiatives that affect the entire hunting world we will continue to insist on highlighting the competence of the hunter in the management of the territory.
"Once again the hunters have concretely shown a particular attention to environmental management, - underlines Andrea Trenti, Head of Traditional Anuu Hunts - the future of our society must be built with the involvement of all rural realities in order not to lose precious customs and teachings often intended for use by the community ".
