The Minister of the Environment, Gianluca Galletti, has never managed to win the sympathies of the hunting world, but 2017 seems to have started in a different way. In particular, the owner of the department of Via Cristoforo Colombo used greater caution and less rigidity in addressing the issue of early closure of the hunt on January 20 thrushes, woodcocks and cesene. The Higher Institute for Research and Environmental Protection (ISPRA) was consulted and urged to evaluate an urgent way the data on migration.
This is the important result obtained by various hunting associations, which have talked with Galletti himself bringing scientific data and studies. By the way, there are projects still in progress, such as the fundamental one that it concerns the Cesena. The Minister intends to have the Italian regions decide e it can be hoped that the hunting season will end on January 30th.
From the ministerial circular of last December 22, one can guess what the Council of State to officially sanction the early closure to adapt the situation to the demands of Brussels and as if to say that Galletti does not have the power to intervene directly. In Abruzzo regionmeanwhile, the early closure is already a reality.
