La Province of Treviso is looking for volunteers to start the otters hunt in this area of Veneto, an activity that will be preceded by the training of hunters through a special course. As explained by the mayor of Arcade, Early Sunday, the activity has been designed for those in possession of the hunting license and that he intends to devote himself free of charge to the numerical control of rodents.
The mayor is also a provincial councilor with delegation to hunting. The dates of the course are already known: the 4 and 6 July next, in fact, the Auditorium of the Province will host the students, always at the same time, that is to say from 19 to 22:30. Several Treviso municipalities have published the announcement, without forgetting the collaboration offered by the hunting associations.
The hunt will take place in full compliance with regional law: the nutria will then be captured with cages and then there will be suppression in case of finding in inhabited centers. On the contrary, the use of firearms will be allowed in rural and wooded areas. In addition, the carcasses will have to be buried in areas away from waterways. In addition to the Treviso area, the species is also present along the Adriatic coast up to Abruzzo.
