Two and a half months after approval in Consultation and one month after the go-ahead obtained in the council, the Molise region approved two days ago, Monday 25 July 2016, on hunting calendar 2016-2017. It was the news Christian Di Pietro, regional councilor and group leader of “Molise di Tutti”. As pointed out by Di Pietro himself, the text has remained practically the same, therefore there have been no substantial changes compared to the draft that was presented in the Regional Council for Hunting.
The councilor highlighted the long and intense work that has been done to achieve this important result, given that it took several years. The official opening of the hunting activity will take place from third week of September, while the 31 January 2017. As for dog training, however, the departure was set for August 15th.
There will also be pre-openings for some species (1 September), in compliance with the laws in force. The wild boar hunt will start on November 2nd. Di Pietro defined this calendar as “A document articulated in compliance with environmental constraints and the general principles of protection of the fauna”. Now we need to take care of the printing of hunting cards and the methods of distribution of the same.
