The approvals of the regional hunting calendars 2016-2017 they are following each other in rapid succession. After Molise, it was the turn of the Toscana, with the Regional Council that has voted in the last few hours on the document containing the guidelines for the upcoming hunting season. As reported by Tuscany News, the proposal is that of the Councilor for Agriculture, Marco Remaschi. The start of the hunting will officially take place on 18 September and will end on 30 January 2017, although for some species the time period will be shorter.
Remaschi himself wanted to underline one of the main innovations. It is unique on a national level, with decisions similar to those of previous years, except for ungulates, given that there will be greater flexibility in the various territories. The hunting period from 18 September to 30 January concerns song thrush, teal, snipe, gadwall, pintail, wood pigeon, hooded crow, wigeon, coot, whisk, moorhen, magpie, mallard, jay, garganey, shoveler, pochard, lapwing, water rail and fox.
In addition, during the same period, they can be hunted wild rabbits, blackbirds, quails, turtledoves, pheasants and minilepre. The withdrawal will be prohibited starting from October 31 for the fighter, while for the partridge and the red partridge the dates of the stop will be November 30th and December 8th. A final mention deserves the number of animals to be killed. Each hunter will be able to hunt 100 larks, 25 quail or turtle doves, 20 woodcocks and ducklings, 10 red partridges and 5 partridges throughout the season.
