Shooting competition on running boar silhouette and field shooting with Tikka T3 Lite in cal. 308.

Like every spring, the Roman section of the SCI organized the social competition, open to members and supporters, this year the Hare Head Polygon by Simone Spagnoletti, a structure located just 20 kilometers from the capital. On this occasion the meeting developed into four separate competitions, three dedicated to running boar in the categories, Running boar, Running boar with manual reset, Running boar express reloading. All three competitions included eight shots divided into series of two for each passage on a moving template placed at about 50 m, the first category could be engaged with any rifled firearm, the second only with bolt action and straight manual rearming rifles. pull, the third was reserved for express, in this case the score was calculated according to the score / time formula and precisely:
the shooter starts, on the first shot the stopwatch starts, the second shot is shot, after which the target stops and is ready to restart, in the meantime the shooter reloads the express and starts the return of the target, throw the two shots and on the fourth shot the time is stopped. All repeated twice.
The fourth competition was a simplified version of the field shooting, three positions only, with targets at 100 meters, the three targets were fired to each three shots in support of a fixed pole, three in support on alpenstock and three free arm. All the competitions were designed to get closer to hunting shooting, even the weapons had to be strictly in hunting caliber. Success, as always, was ensured by the massive participation and perfect SCI organization in the people of Kenneth Zeri and Nuccio Pepe as well as by the great availability and professionalism of the Polygon. The event was supported by Sako, who provided all attendees with Tikka T3 Lite cal. 308 equipped with optics Burris Fullfield E1 6,5 × 50 e Sako ammunition with 180 grs Hammerhead ball, the two carbines were widely used for field shooting and in some cases also for the running boar.
Many prizes reserved for the various competitions, SCI medals for the first three of each category, days of hunting in Italian AFV and in Romania drawn by lot among all the participants. The star of the day was Niccolò Ricci, winner of the three categories of the current wild boar and second of the field shooting but first among the users of Tikka carbines.

The accessory prizes are also very popular, the usual Niccolò Ricci won a stake in a wild boar hunt in the AFV Castel Giuliano Sasso, loc. Cerqueto offered by Saverio Patrizi to the first classified in the field shot among those who have used the Tikka carbines. Romolo D'Amico and Giuseppe Pepe were drawn respectively for a roe deer hunt and a wild boar hunt offered to Agrofloracaccia by Luca Lucarini, in Romania, including hunting organization, food, lodging and killing.
Augusto Bonato was drawn for a stake in a boar hunt in Pier Paolo Fondi's Castel di Salce AFV. Augusto Minosse won a wild boar slaughter in Stefano Saporito's SS Trinità AGV in Castelvetrano in Sicily. A day spent in the name of fun, where the competition was just an excuse to spend a few hours among friends, coming from different regions of Italy, united by the same passion for hunting and weapons, as well as an opportunity to discuss issues of the hunting world and on the possible actions to be taken.
