The EPS Avellino_Settore Ungulates, headed by the immutable Angelo PELUSO, is ready to take the field with dozens of fans of hunting ungulates and more. In re-discussing the re-measurement of the ACS specific hunting areas, as well as the precautions to the implementation regulation (in the coming days a meeting with all the interested parties, Province, ATC, trade associations). The manager PELUSO, illustrates the proposal he has taken on: "As you well know, the exact knowledge of the consistency of the populations of sedentary wildlife present in the area allows a better and more careful preparation of the sampling plans, which the bodies in charge must annually prepare ".
"Therefore, in order to try to optimize scientific research, hunting fauna, also on species of sedentary interest, (wild boar, hare, gray partridge and pheasant) and with the aim of collecting in an in-depth study, on the knowledge of local populations, involved in hunting wildlife sampling, in the Province of Avellino and in the Campania Region, as well as, to set up a dense monitoring network, of the habitual presences, of the above species, the EPS Avellino Ungulate Sector, welcoming with pleasure, the proposal made by the Regional Section Eps Campania, and proposes to all interested parties, to strengthen the valuable initiative, to share, with a unitary project, carried out at a provincial level, (if anything to be extended as a pilot project also at the regional level) an in-depth study, on the presence of hare and partridge in the provincial territory, through targeted monitoring to be carried out with methods established for this purpose ".
The results of the aforementioned study could be merged into a special data container, to be created, perhaps on a special platform, connected to the website of the Campania Region www.campaniacaccia.it, and could be of support, in the editing, of the '' constant updating of the Provincial and Regional wildlife map, which will serve, to better define, the guidelines for the future wildlife-hunting management of the Province of Avellino for the preparation of sampling plans and hunting calendars in the years to come.
The ATCs, who will have the task of organizing the monitoring of the sedentary species, prepare the monitoring plans in the selected and suitable areas, must be taken care of. These areas must be homogeneous from an environmental point of view, including, where possible, also the areas forbidden to hunting, subject to the authorization of the relevant managing bodies. The monitoring activity must be carried out by expert hunters, who have followed suitable training activities, according to the technical directives and interpretative guides issued by ISPRA.
