The month of November is about to end and theANUUMigrators has published a new weekly note regarding the migratory step ad Arosio (Como). The last week has not been good for the large huntable turdidae, which have been "influenced" by missing moon phase started just yesterday, Sunday 26 November 2017, with the first quarter. However, the time for the final balance has not arrived: the turdids are slowing down, but the year for migratory workers and shed workers is still positive, despite the lack of supply of live decoys.
Migration offered the opportunity to observe a good movement of finches, brambles, frosoni, linnet e lucarini (albeit more locally). The numbers of larks and pipits are constant, without forgetting the various sightings of woodcock and the few things to add in relation to snipe. The presence of wood pigeons was good and there was no lack of observations from interesting contingents of teals.
In the next few days there should be a disturbance: temperatures will drop by up to ten degrees compared to the seasonal average and this thermal drop will facilitate the recovery of large turdids, Cesena in the first place. December is still to be discovered: ANUU has invited all fans to participate in the project of collection of thrush wings (sasselli and bottacci) promoted since 1984.
