First a no and now a yes. The Prince Harry, grandson of Queen Elizabeth of England, will participate in the traditional hunting trip of the royal family which takes place every year on December 26 (the so-called "Boxing Day"). A few days ago there was talk instead of Harry's renunciation of hunting in order not to hurt and disappoint his wife Meghan Markle who recently married.
British newspapers love to delve into gossip and in this case hunting is the absolute protagonist. The hunt will take place on the Sandrigham estate, owned by the royal family (the most sought-after prey are normally pheasants). Brother William had already anticipated his participation. As is now known, Markle is a convinced animalist and her husband's gesture would have been a way not to offend her.
The fact is that the Queen does not like these renunciations of court traditions and may have prevailed in this case. Harry is expected to be there in two days with a new dog, a black Labrador given to him by the Duchess of Sussex. British citizens gladly accept these jokes and then in this case they will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
