As reported today, Thursday 18 February 2021, from Italian Federation of Hunting (FIDC), there is a particular situation that is worth delving into Veneto. In a short video of a hunting fauna company in the Venice Lagoon, thousands of anatidae can be observed, in particular pochards, which were surveyed between October and January in numbers around 20.000 subjects.
Even when hunting is closed, the habitats reconstituted by the owners of the farms allow the stop of thousands of subjects who are about to undertake the migration, or in migratory transit towards northern Europe.
