- ungulates are now a problem not to be underestimated, considering that every day there are reports of such wild animals close to inhabited areas with exposed risks of public security. If on the one hand Mayors and trade associations require the qualified figures to be more active, on the other the hunting associations and above all the Free Hunting are asking the Piedmont region the modification of the Regional Council Resolution of 2010 which governs the operating procedures for issuing qualifications.
In fact, in order to carry out hunting activities in the form of selection hunting, it is necessary to attend a 80 hour course and a subsequent final exam. The same rule provides for face-to-face lessons, which with Covid is no longer feasible and the organization of the aforementioned courses by ATC / CA already overburdened with many other problems. The necessary qualifications are therefore almost impossible to obtain.
For this reason, these days the Free Hunt Wedge sent a request to the Protopapa Regional Councilor in order to allow training by the hunter associations, even with distance learning and the possibility of taking the final exam in front of a commission appointed by the ATC / CA in agreement with the Province of Cuneo. A request that, if on the one hand it allows freedom of training, on the other it guarantees the possibility of verifying through a public examination of the necessary knowledge and skills required for the issue of the home hunting for selection. Without a modification it is unlikely that it will be possible to exhaustively practice selection hunting.
