Hunting: Seminar for the management of wild boar in Lecco In Lecco we discuss the management of wild boar
The problems related to the management of the wild boar are very current problems in the world of hunting. There are many Italian regions that, in fact, in recent years have found themselves faced with a disproportionate increase in the number of wild boar specimens in their territories. THE boars bring with them damage to the territory, both to the cultivated one and to that in the wild, and for these reasons it was always necessary to find optimal management solutions at the regional level of this problem.
As we all know, the regions of Piedmont, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany have been faced with problems of this type. The condition of Lombardy seems to have worsened in recent times. The first measure that Lombardy has decided to implement was to hold a seminar, a day of study and discussion in which to try to understand what could actually be the right solution for this region by also comparing the solutions previously adopted by the other Italian regions.
The in-depth seminar entitled "Wild boar management: strategies compared" will take place on March 13, 2010 at 9.30 at the Hotel Pontevecchio in Lecco and is organized by the Province of Lecco in collaboration with various realities, including the General Management Agriculture of Lombardy, the Development and Protection Service of the Rural and Mountain Territory as well as the Environment Health Safety Department of the University of Varese.
Please note that anyone wishing to participate in the seminar must register by March 9, 2010 by filling out the registration form that can be downloaded from the page www.provincia.lecco.it/seminario_cinghiale.
