Sightings of wild boars continue under the houses. The mayor of Fabriano, Gabriel Santarelli, is participating in a national table of Anci to take stock of the situation and seek a solution starting from legislation in force. "As president of the Environment and Civil Protection Commission of Anci Marche - explains the mayor - I am participating in the table of National Anci which is working on proposing changes to the law of 11 February 1992, number 157, for the part relating to the containment of the presence of wildlife in urban areas ".
It is a national table coordinated by Anci, National Association of Italian Municipalities, to stem the wild boar emergency that is creating many problems in Fabriano and beyond. Every week the residents of via Del Molino, near the Profili hospital, report sightings. A phenomenon that scares motorists, but especially pedestrians strolling in the streets close to the city countryside.
“The problem is national - explains Santarelli - and is now intertwined with that of presence of swine fever in some regions of Northern Italy and in particular in Liguria. It is necessary to find a common solution because to date the statutory auditors have no competence in this regard and also the ordinances that are issued, where they have been challenged, have been annulled by the TARs "(Il Resto del Carlino).
