Subject: request for cancellation of the Provincial Wildlife Plan.
The undersigned Pisanu Marco Efisio, Regional President of the undersigned Hunting Association, recognized by the President of the Regional Council with Decree No. 102 of 14/09/2011, with reference to the Provincial Wildlife Plan, published in Buras No. 10 of 28/02/2013 , in the name and on behalf of the undersigned Association, having regard to the documents concerning the drafting of the Provincial Wildlife Plan, requests the cancellation of the same, as the parameters relating to the SEA have not been respected.
The same plan, in points 2.4.2 “Integrated PFVP-VAS path” and 2.4.3 “The participatory process and the subjects involved”, reaffirms the importance of involving local actors and trade associations.
Our Association, rooted throughout the Provincial territory, if it had been invited to the meetings could have made a significant contribution regarding the delivery of the questionnaire, aimed at collecting any indications and additions from the competent subjects-authorities in the environmental and public.
In addition to what is mentioned in the introduction, and other points that we would have the opportunity to argue in the appropriate fora, we would like to underline our opposition (and that of the majority of Oristano hunters) to the establishment of the ATC, and to the immeasurable expansion of the areas forbidden to hunting. .
In this regard, we want to highlight that in the summary table of the new proposals for the establishment of Oases, Protected Areas, etc. (page 13), the Agro Turistico Venatorie and the ZACs are not included in the percentages of areas off-limits to hunting.
It is also believed that the areas affected by fires must also be included in the aforementioned table, since, as per current legislation, hunting cannot be practiced in the aforementioned areas. With regard to the above, the cancellation of the Provincial Wildlife Plan is requested.
Pending rediscount pursuant to Law 241/90, we offer cordial greetings.
The Regional President
Marco Efisio Pisanu
