Dog handlers
Uncertain weather, fresh from the previous night's rain, was the setting for the event competition of the Befana of the Huntresses Federcaccia, reserved for all female dog handlers who want to spend a day in harmonious company and show the virtues of their beloved dogs in a practical hunting test on quail. The event took place under the supervision of the judges Mazzoleni and Cortinovis, who scrupulously evaluated the work of the dogs in order to draw up a ranking, but also tried to facilitate the meeting for all the participants, in order to build a harmonious climate that suited the type of event, adopting softened judgment parameters, taking into consideration the fact that some participants were having their first experience.
The winners
The winner of the competition is the champion of the Italian national team Rebecca Tenconi with Wolf, Epagneul Breton who led the best round of the day. All the competitors who honored the organizers with their presence were rewarded. Thanks go to the Provincial President of Milan/Monza and Brianza FIDC Luca Agnelli and to the omnipresent Maurizio Masiero, always generous in supporting these events, and a special applause to the organizer of the event, Cristiana Preti, to Renato Novati and to the FIDC Section of Limbiate who supervised everything (source: Federcaccia).
Vandals in action
“A hug and a big kiss - we read in the note from the organizers -, finally, to the vandals who caused extensive damage during the night and stole the quails that would have been used for the event: they thought they were undermining the success of the event but, goodness they do not know the stubbornness of the hunting world which, in these demonstrations, is moved by enthusiasm and contagious joy, unlike these vandals who, instead, harbor nothing but resentment in their hearts. They will answer for their actions to the Carabinieri who, promptly, rushed to the scene and collected a regular criminal report."
