The counter measures of the pandemic provided for by Government Count for the days of the Christmas holidays and which have governed for Italy an alternation of days of red zone and orange zone with the related limitations to activities and movements. While we are still discussing the measures to be applied subsequently, the key point of the government strategy seems to remain the classification by zone of the different regions on the basis of disease spread indexes. If it is necessary to face this umpteenth phase of the fight against COVID-19 with other constraints to our private, social and working life, we hunters citizens like all our other compatriots will do it too.
With seriousness, spirit of collaboration and civic sense, as we have done up to now and in the darkest times of the health crisis. But what was an emergency solution has now changed into a structural system whose term is not easy to predict. If it was acceptable that in the midst of the emergency the system was aimed at minimizing the risks of spreading the virus without looking too thin, as they say, imposing general and generic rules, now we ask that even our specific sector and all its components - social, economic and productive - be given greater attention by the Government.
Hunting is an activity fully compatible with social distancing, much more than others normally allowed in the orange zone and perfectly practicable without putting oneself or others at risk of contagion even in the red zone. For this reason we have invited the other AAVVs and the CNCN, gathered with us in the control room of the hunting world, to carry out a meeting as soon as possible to proceed in a unified manner to a new request for discussion to the Government so that it can provide, in the persistence of the current classification of the risk by regions, to give specific indications , clear and uniform throughout the national territory so that Italian hunters - like other citizens all equal before the law - can exercise their activity without inequalities and without unnecessary restrictions that seem more the result of ideological preconceptions than of real health needs.
Our proposal, which we will discuss with the other associations, is that the model envisaged and implemented by the Tuscan ordinance 117 of 5 December 2020 is taken as a model and by those of the other Regions that have adopted similar measures, extending their validity to the whole national territory even if a part of this falls into the red zone, making it possible to exercise hunting activities in the territory of the municipality of residence, in the ATCs of residence hunting, in stalking and to ungulates, in team and single, and in AFV and ATV, even outside the municipality of residence. A request that we consider reasonable and aimed at restoring legal certainty for an activity that did not deserve limitations, as it is carried out in the open air and in complete safety, waiting for a return, which we hope quickly, of our country to normalcy.
