Hunting: Liguria, yet another anti-hunt appeal against the regional hunting calendar despite the changes made; Bruzzone, “the situation is bordering on the absurd”.
Even the third Hunting Calendar of the Liguria Region, despite the changes made, does not like the animal rights activists who have lent yet another anti-hunt appeal, arousing the disbelief and indignation of the hunting world and the regional administration first of all the leader of the Northern League in the Regional Council, Francesco Bruzzone. Precisely on the question Bruzzone said, “I learned, with some incredulity, that the environmental associations have presented a further appeal against the third Hunting Calendar, the last approved by the Regional Council and the competent Commission. All this takes place on the day when the Liguria Regional Administrative Court rejected yet another appeal by the associations. By now the situation, between appeals and complaints, against hunting and hunters, is bordering on the absurd ”.
Continuing Bruzzone recalls the decision, by the TAR of Liguria, to reject the appeal promoted by the environmental associations on the addresses of the Wildlife Plans: "Following the initial warm comment of satisfaction on the total rejection of the appeal, I was able to examine in the detail the sentence; the Court clarified very well some issues of considerable importance, which had been used in an instrumental way to promote the appeal ".
“First of all, underlines Bruzzone - the TAR recognized it correct to consider among the percentage of territory to protect the fauna also a percentage of the buffer zone from roads and houses; secondly, the TAR recognized as correct the reduction from ten to three years of the ban on hunting in wooded areas affected by fire; finally, of particular importance, the court recognized as correct any increase in the number of fixed positions. Furthermore, the applicant associations were sentenced to pay the costs incurred by the parties, therefore the Liguria Region and the four provincial bodies ”.
Finally Bruzzone concluded, "I reiterate the satisfaction expressed above: this is further confirmation that many environmentalists are only interested in blocking hunting, leaving aside any kind of real attention to true environmental protection".
