Change at the top of EPS, theGame Producers member of Confagricoltura. Martin Ganner has been elected president for the next four-year term. The main tasks of the EPS
“Among the main tasks of the Institution – comments Martin Ganner – is the integration of hunting and agricultural activities to consolidate the value of multifunctionality and the central role of business activity. The Authority will continue to work for the recognition of wildlife management and the resulting environmental improvements as ecosystem services".
Future prospects
“Our organization needs greater participation and collegiality in the management and definition of strategies. We will encourage the joining of new members also through increasing the number of concessions", adds the president. For EPS, the expenses incurred by wildlife companies in carrying out these activities should be tax deductible and recognized as interventions eligible for a premium with the instruments of the Common Agricultural Policy. Finally, EPS will work to promote the economic sustainability of companies in the sector through the valorisation and marketing of game meat in structured, recognizable and transparent supply chains.
