The story that is concerning a 67 year old Piedmontese hunter since 2016 it is really special. For this man was in fact asked for a sentence of 2 months and a thousand euro fine after being checked by hunting guards in Caluso (province of Turin), at the end of a wild boar hunting trip together with some friends.
The accusation is that of having gone to a reserve for restocking with the rifle on his shoulder and the dog. Based on this reconstruction, the 67-year-old would have placed the weapon in the case after noticing the guards, also hiding two pheasants killed shortly before. Furthermore, the hunter was found in possession of a glove with only two fingers and which would fit only his hand. The guards then spoke of a cartridge case found not far away.
The defense thinks completely the opposite. The man was in Turin for hunt the wild boar and would cross the protected area to reach an industrial warehouse in which he was interested. Pheasants, glove and cartridge case would not belong to him: among other things, the expert who was called to the court explained how the case itself is a 12 gauge, which corresponds to the vast majority of shotguns, which is why it cannot be said to have been exploded by the 67-year-old. The first instance sentence will be pronounced on April 6.
