Hunting: Piedmont, the TAR has rejected the resolution of the Region which prohibited the hunting to the ptarmigan to protect the species in the past Hunting Season.
The Region had banned the ptarmigan hunting, one of the alpine species, to allow the colonies to repopulate taking advantage of the ban but with a recent ruling the TAR rejected the Region by accepting the appeal of the hunters' associations, also condemning the Regional Administration to compensate the legal costs.
The Hunting Associations had risen against the regional resolution and instructed the lawyer Paolo Scaparone to appeal to the Regional Administrative Court. As usual, a suspension was triggered but the Region prepared a new resolution and in the meantime the Hunting Season had ended.
Now, just in view of the new Hunting Calendar for the next 2015/2016 season, here is that the judges pronounce on the regional resolution giving reason to the hunters and condemning the Region to pay the court costs but with the risk of having to compensate the damages that the Hunting Associations in the name of their members complain of having suffered including the costs for the bird census and payments made for government concession fees.
