The meeting is scheduled for the beginning of next week Emilia Romagna region with local authorities to discuss the techniques to be adopted to free the Pinewood of Classe (Ravenna) by fallow deer. The meeting has been moved several times because two different hypotheses collide: dejection, as can be understood from the regional plan for the collection of fallow deer in selection (which obtained the positive opinion of Ispra) and the thesis supported in particular by the regional councilor of the Mixed Group, Giulia Gibertoni and animal welfare associations, that aim at catching, after the use of anesthetic, and moving to other Apennine territories.
The regional fallow deer harvesting plan provides for a number of animals to be collected of 233 for the province of Ravenna (with the eradication of the core of the Classe pine forest). Killing or capture, the only certainty is that it will incur high costs. This is testified by a document released yesterday by the Ravenna Free Hunt.
"The environmental improvement projects of the Mandriole Valley and Punte Alberete, prepared by the Park Authority, aim in particular at containment of nutria, red shrimp and carp species”Say the hunters registered in the association. But the cost does not seem to be negligible. From a table extracted from the resolution of the Park Authority, the Free Hunt notes that the total cost is 256 thousand euros. 150 thousand for the killing of a thousand otters: "We qualified hunters would do it with 5 thousand euros" (Il Resto del Carlino).
Of course the living room animal rights activists / environmentalists have a condominium brain; they think they are capturing the fallow deer and moving them to another area, perhaps they do NOT know the poor intellectually, who move the problem from one place but create it in another (Blessed Ignorance ) ???????
