La Sardinia returns to be the protagonist of a hunting discussion after the perplexities shown towards Territorial Areas of Hunting. This time, as reported by the site Castedduonline.it, there is talk of the island for a motion presented by Gianluigi Rubiu, leader of the UDC in the Region and the topic is the same. The aim of the document is to revise the Sardinian hunting fauna plan. According to Rubiu, in fact, this plan should be an instrument capable of regulating hunting with an adequate level of compatibility as regards the agricultural sector.
In particular, the density of the species that are part of the wildlife it must not represent a problem or damage to the productions. Furthermore, these animal populations must be constantly monitored, perhaps by setting up selective culling plans, as required by law. For the regional councilor, however, the plan failed to get industry associations to get along. The hunters have not at all digested the prediction of the aforementioned ATC, a detail that “limits and rigidly binds the hunting activity”.
Sardinia risks a lot with a game plan for hunting of this kind, also because the instrument cannot currently be implemented on the territory. Rubiu explained how the Scopes are not the right choice for the island, given that the region is not homogeneous from a territorial point of view and in this way the various displaced offices could not be coordinated. The document presented by the councilor also leverages the fact that ATCs are not popular and represent a real sting for hunters, who are forced to pay a fee in addition to the tax already provided.
