Three days ago, Monday 11 April 2016, there was an important debate a Cagnò, in the province of Trento, to discuss the main consequences of the merger of the Trentino municipalities of the so-called "Terza Sponda" on game reserves. This term indicates the area of Trentino Alto Adige north of two streams, the Noce and the Novella. L'Adige.it reported the contents of the meeting, which took place in the public hall of the town hall. The meeting was aimed specifically at the hunting world and one of the first to speak was the number one Trentino huntersCarlo Pezzato.
The president guaranteed that the referendum in May, whoever decides the merger or not, will bring no negative news for the hunters. Furthermore, a virtuous example was cited, that of Ledro (also in the province of Trento), born six years ago from the merger of six other locations and in which all game reserves have been maintained. The provincial councilor Nerio Giovanazzi has instead raised a doubt about the hunting law, that is to say the possibility that a resident of the future single municipality can exercise the activity in the territory of another fraction.
The problem exists and for this Giovanazzi has presented a legislative text that could shed light on the controversial aspect. Among the most interesting interventions was that of a hunter with 62 years of hunting behind him, according to which after the possible merger it will be necessary respect current reserves. Alessandro Ceschi, director of the Consortium of Municipalities, recalled without too many words that "It would be paradoxical for an administrative merger to affect the balance of hunting". The issue is very hot and meetings of this type or related to the merger will continue until the end of the referendum campaign on 18 May.
