The section of Cremona ofNational Free Hunting Association (Circolo di Castelverde) has released the complete calendar of all the dog races that will take place in 2016, a program that will be updated every time the clubs communicate the official dates of the tests. One of these is imminent, as it will take place over the next weekend, that of Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April. It's about a race on quail without shot which is scheduled at the “Feniletto” Quagliodromo in Sesto ed Uniti, a scattered municipality that gave birth, among others, to the former secretary of the CGIL Sergio Cofferati.
The event we are talking about is valid as a second test for the provincial selection of the Diana Trophy. The race is intended for hunting dogs and the categories provided are two, namely "Free" (English-Continental) e "Hunters" (English-Continental). Dogs and handlers will start competing at 14 pm on Saturday, while on Sunday the start has been set for 7.
As for the prizes, however, they will be awarded to the first of each category and in this case they will consist of gold medals; for the second and third of each category there will be gastronomic awards. The next two tests, scheduled for the month of May, will also have to do with the quail as a wild animal. We are talking about the social competition with a shot on May 15, a test that will take place at the Quagliodromo "Piperi" in the locality Spino D'Adda, and the selection for the Northern Italy Championship (quail race with shot) which will take place at the "Santa Franca" hunting farm in the locality Stagno Lombardo.
