Tuscan Cacciatori: the proposed changes to the regulations on the chips to be applied to dogs prove to be a vile pretext for animal rights activists for yet another attack on hunting.
In these days, a letter signed by EMPA, OIPA (?) And WWF addressed to the candidate councilors and presidents in which they are asked to intervene on an article of the law 59/09 ("Regulations for the protection of pets, prevention of stray animals and canine registry ") recently modified with the clear aim of giving concreteness to the objectives indicated by the title of the provision. In fact, the modification of article 40 approved by the Regional Council, regarding the sanctions to be imposed on those found in possession of dogs without a chip, says that "In the first dispute, the sanctions ..... do not apply if the person in charge 'identification and registration within the next ten days ”. The request of the aforementioned associations is to limit themselves to delivering the sanction and then whoever has seen has seen. The monetization of the problem eludes the substance that the changes made, forcing oneself to comply instead aims to solve.
A difficult approach to understand; but the mystery is revealed by reading the letter of a senator of the PD, Silvana Amati, "Head of the protection and health of animals" which is attached to the request of the animal rights associations. The rule, says ours, “could lead to an increase in dropouts, especially for those dogs that should prove unsuitable for hunting ".
So, the goal is not the welfare of the animals, it is the hunters. Incredible right? One climbs on the mirrors to find a way to criminalize a category, that of hunters, the bearer of a culture and a tradition in treating their auxiliaries with care and love, witnessed among other things by hundreds of pages of excellent literature.
Shame!
