Hunting: Tuscany, approved the regional hunting calendar valid for the 2013 - 2014 season. Salvadori: "Respected will of the Constitutional Court".
The regional hunting calendar was approved today by the Executive. The resolution that dictates the times, species and methods for the exercise of hunting in Tuscany for the 2013-2014 season was approved by the councilor for agriculture and hunting, Gianni Salvadori. "Following the recent sentence of the Constitutional Court which rejected a part of the regional law n.20 / 2002 - explained Salvadori - even Tuscany has approved with an administrative act, as requested by the same Court, the hunting calendar for migratory species and permanent, with the primary aim of reconciling the demands of the hunting and agricultural world and of environmental protection associations. " The one approved is therefore a complex and articulated resolution which, for each individual huntable species, analytically describes the scientific supports and the Community or national regulatory provisions that have determined the individual choices of the administration. "With this provision - explains Salvadori - the Tuscany Region guarantees the concrete application on the territory of the international convention of the AEWA (Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds - agreement on the conservation of aquatic migratory species), prohibiting the use of ammunition of lead in all the artificial lakes and wetlands of the Region and not only within the Special Protection Areas. This decision, suggested by ISPRA (Higher Institute for Research and Environmental Protection) further guarantees the safeguarding of natural environments and the defense of biodiversity. Seasonal collection limits have also been introduced for some huntable species. " Further opinions were also obtained on the resolution. "The Tuscany Region - Salvadori reports - resolved after having requested and obtained the authoritative opinion of CIRSe.MAF (Interuniversity Research Center on Game and Environmental Improvements for Fauna) which expressed itself favorably, underlining that the arguments relating to single species and relative hunting times are guarantors of the sampling and conservation of the same species. "
Here is the detailed content of the provisions:
